"เขาวังคู่บ้าน ขนมหวาน เมืองพระ เลิศล้ำศิลปะ แดนธรรมะ ทะเลงาม" คือคำขวัญเมืองเพชรบุรี  นอกจากสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวที่มีมากมายในจังหวัดเพชรบุรีแล้ว เมืองเพชรยังได้ชื่อว่าเป็น 'เมืองสามรส' ด้วยรสเปรี้ยวของ มะนาวแป้นเมืองเพ็ชร์ รสเค็มจาก เกลือสมุทรเมืองเพ็ชร์ เกลือดีมีชื่อเสียงและเป็นแหล่งผลิตเกลือสมุทรอันดับหนึ่งของไทยอีกด้วย และสุดท้าย รสหวานจาก น้ำตาลโตนด ของดีคู่บ้านคู่เมืองเพ็ชร์มาแต่โบราณกาล

ที่สำคัญคือ เพชรบุรี ได้รับเลือกจาก UNESCO ให้เป็นหนึ่งในเมืองสร้างสรรค์ด้านอาหาร (Creative City of Gastronomy) เมนูอาหารขึ้นชื่อของเมืองเพ็ชร์ที่ InnTrain เคยได้นำมาทำและเสิร์ฟบนรถไฟ เช่น ข้าวแช่เมืองเพ็ชร์ แกงคั่วหัวตาล ขนมจีนทอดมัน ลูกตาลลอยแก้ว ขนมหม้อแกง

จากเพชรบุรีนั่งรถไฟต่อไปไม่ถึงชั่วโมงก็ถึง หัวหิน สถานที่พักตากอากาศของคนไทยมาแต่ไหนแต่ไร

การนั่งรถไฟไปหัวหินถือได้ว่าเป็นการย้อนรอยตำนานการเดินทางโดยรถไฟของชนชั้นสูงในอดีตเลย เพราะในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 ที่เริ่มมีการพัฒนาการคมนาคมโดยรถไฟนั้น การเดินทางไปพักผ่อนตากอากาศที่เมืองหัวหินของขนชั้นสูงหรือคนที่มีฐานะดีในสมัยนั้นมักจะเป็นการเดินทางโดยรถไฟจากบางกอกน้อย(ธนบุรีในปัจจุบัน)ถึงหัวหิน และเป็นที่มาของเมนู “ข้าวผัดรถไฟ” ที่เป็นตำนานมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ เพราะเมนูนี้ถูกนำมาเสิร์ฟครั้งแรกก็ในเส้นทางรถไฟสายนี้นี่เอง

เสน่ห์ของเส้นทางรถไฟสายนี้ยังรวมถึงความสวยงามและเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของตัวสถานีรถไฟหัวหินเอง ที่ถึงแม้จะมีการสร้างสถานีหัวหินขึ้นมาใหม่แล้ว ตัวสถานีเก่าก็ยังคงอยู่และถูกรักษาไว้เป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดที่ต้องมาเช็กอิน

อีกหนึ่งสถานที่ไม่ไกลจากอำเภอหัวหินและแนะนำให้ไปคือ พระราชนิเวศน์มฤคทายวัน สร้างขึ้นในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 6 เป็นที่ประทับแปรพระราชฐานในฤดูร้อนของพระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว มีสถาปัตยกรรมที่สวยงามและน่ารื่นรมย์

Bangkok - Petchaburi / Hua Hin

"The City of Majestic Palaces, Sweet Delights, Divine Temples, Exquisite Arts, Land of Dharma, and Beautiful Seas" is the official motto of Phetchaburi province. Beyond its numerous tourist attractions, Phetchaburi is renowned as the "City of Three Flavors". These flavors come from the sourness of Phetchaburi’s lime, the saltiness of its famous sea salt—as the province is Thailand's leading producer—and finally, the sweetness of palm sugar, a local treasure since ancient times.

Notably, Phetchaburi has been designated by UNESCO as a Creative City of Gastronomy. Famous local dishes that InnTrain has previously featured and served on board include Phetchaburi-style Khao Chae (chilled jasmine rice), Tod Mun (fish cakes) with Khanom Chin, Gaeng Kua Hua Tarn (toddy palm curry), Luk Tarn Loy Gaew (toddy palm in syrup), and Khanom Mor Gang (Thai custard).

From Phetchaburi, a train ride of less than an hour brings you to Hua Hin, a beloved seaside retreat for generations. Taking the train to Hua Hin is like retracing the legendary travels of the elite in the past. During the reign of King Rama V, when rail transport was first developed, the aristocracy and wealthy families from Bangkok (Thonburi) frequently traveled by train to vacation in Hua Hin. This journey is the origin of the legendary "Railway Fried Rice", which was first served on this very route.

The charm of this route also includes the unique beauty of the Hua Hin Railway Station. Although a new station has been constructed, the original historic building has been preserved as a landmark check-in point. Another nearby site that is highly recommended is Mrigadayavan Palace. Built during the reign of King Rama VI as a summer seaside residence, it features exceptionally beautiful and serene architecture.
